The Line Cook position at BAR167 Bistro & Lounge plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the kitchen. We are seeking a skilled and experienced line cook familiar with multiple kitchen stations such as garde manger, saute, grill, and fry. A key part of this role also requires proficiency in shucking oysters, ensuring a smooth and timely service for one of our signature menu items. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be highly organized, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. A great line cook at BAR167 not only prepares quality dishes but also maintains a clean and organized station throughout their shift. The role is hourly-paid with overtime compensation available, reflecting the commitment and time dedication required, typically involving 45 to 55 working hours per week. Flexibility in schedule is essential as shifts are split between lunch service (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) and dinner service (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm). The physical demands of the job include standing for long periods and lifting weights over 50 pounds, requiring a fit and active individual.
