The Line Cook position plays a crucial role at The Kitchen Bistro by ensuring that food is prepared to exact specifications and standards set by the chef. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year cooking experience on a line
  • Ability to follow recipes and chef specifications
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • At least 18 years old
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or comparable experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience cooking on a line
  • Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Passion for quality local foods and food standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong integrity both personally and professionally
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • At least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to the exact specifications of the chef
  • Work quickly while respecting quality, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Prepare for food service including cleaning and chopping food, setting up and stocking stations
  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Assist with cleaning and stocking
  • Open and close the restaurant as needed
  • Perform related work as requested
  • Work cooperatively with coworkers displaying positive and professional attitude
