The role available is a full-time, non-management culinary position focused on food preparation and kitchen support within the hotel's esteemed culinary department. This job offers an excellent pathway for individuals passionate about culinary arts, eager to hone their skills while contributing to the creation of exquisite dishes that elevate guests' dining experiences. Associates in this role will have access to specialized training and development through a partnership with Rouxbe online culinary school. This unique opportunity allows team members at all levels of culinary experience to enhance their knowledge through hundreds of engaging, visually appealing lessons designed to be immediately applicable on the job.
This position involves hands-on tasks such as preparing fresh ingredients according to recipes or menus, cooking high-quality menu items promptly, conducting quality checks by tasting food and verifying proper preparation and temperature, and using kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Maintaining hygiene standards, including cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers, is also a critical part of the role. The ideal candidate approaches daily tasks with attention to detail, a positive and outgoing attitude, and strong teamwork skills. Previous kitchen experience is considered a strong advantage but not mandatory.
