The successful candidate will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards while ensuring the utmost quality and consistency. Additionally, the Line Cook will assist with menu planning and ingredient selection, maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, and support food presentation and plating to enhance the visual appeal of each dish.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related culinary roles
  • Restaurant or fine dining experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related culinary roles
  • Restaurant or fine dining experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Experience with menu planning and food industry operations is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
  • Support food presentation and plating for optimal visual appeal
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods
  • Follow all food safety protocols, including proper knife skills and sanitation procedures
  • Assist in catering events or special functions as needed
  • Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
