Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in one or more of the following roles is highly desirable: line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, chef, restaurant crew member, restaurant team member or other part time BOH restaurant job
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

Job Duties

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Assist kitchen manager with daily tasks
  • Prepare food to the exact specifications and set up stations for menu
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, prepping meat, or preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow the managers instructions
  • Clean up station and kitchen equipment
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
