The Line Cook position at Flower Child is a critical role that supports the restaurant’s commitment to quality food and customer experience. This role is ideal for candidates who have previous line cook experience and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting. The role demands culinary skills to prepare a variety of foods from scratch by following established recipes carefully, ensuring consistent and high-quality results every time. The line cook will be responsible for cooking diverse ingredients like meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using various kitchen equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers. Beyond cooking, this position involves strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Flower Child offers a compensation range of $17.00 to $21.00 per hour along with flexible work schedules that specifically exclude late-night shifts, accommodating a balanced work-life flow. Job Duties

  • Prepare food from scratch by following our recipes to produce consistent results
  • Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work clean
  • Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Be available to work weekends and some holidays
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
