Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months experience as a line cook or similar role
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Flexible schedule to accommodate shifts
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and cooking methods
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- Portions food products according to standard sizes and recipe specifications
- Prepares items for various cooking methods including broiling, grilling, frying, sauteing
- Handles, labels, stores, and rotates food products properly
- Assists in all food prep assignments as needed
- Cleans and sanitizes workstations and kitchen equipment
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
