This job opportunity is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, Massachusetts, an esteemed property owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC. This hotel represents a dynamic hospitality environment where guests enjoy modern conveniences and superior service. The hotel features 230 contemporary, smoke-free guestrooms with options to accommodate guests with allergies. Complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, fitness center access, and an indoor pool enhance the guest experience. The venue boasts 28 meeting rooms and an impressive 40,000 square feet of event space, perfectly suited for conferences, meetings, and social events held in the Tiffany Ballroom. Dining options include One Bistro and Zachariah’s breakfast buffet, catering to diverse culinary preferences. Conveniently located near Boston, Providence, Gillette Stadium, Legacy Place, and accessible commuter and Amtrak rail services, this property attracts a wide spectrum of guests, making it an exciting place for hospitality professionals.
The role on offer is for a Line Cook, a critical position within the kitchen team that supports daily culinary operations. This full-time, non-exempt position requires early shift availability beginning at 5 a.m., with flexibility to cover evening shifts and holidays as needed. The Line Cook works under the guidance of the Executive Chef to prepare high-quality food in compliance with brand and hotel standards. The position covers breakfast service, banquet support, and internal dining areas, ensuring that each dish served meets strict criteria for quality, presentation, and food safety. Duties involve preparing menu items from standardized recipes, maintaining food safety protocols, managing kitchen cleanliness, and collaborating with team members to create seamless dining experiences. The role demands strong multitasking skills and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates with a minimum of six months’ cooking experience are preferred, but those beginning their kitchen careers or receiving culinary training are encouraged to apply.
This position offers competitive pay within a range of $20.81 to $26.01 hourly, with variations depending on education, experience, and location. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary arts degree and local board of Health ServSafe certification preferred
- Availability for early morning shifts starting at 5am
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Physical stamina to stand and perform kitchen duties for entire shift
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of cooking experience preferred
- Working knowledge of basic cooking techniques and knife skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen workflows accurately

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook assigned menu items using standardized recipes and established kitchen procedures
- Set up and execute breakfast service according to brand and hotel standards
- Maintain food safety compliance, including proper temperature control and logging
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of prep, service, and storage areas
- Verify food quality, freshness, presentation, and portion standards prior to service
- Monitor food levels and replenish stations throughout service
- Assist banquet operations with plate-ups or staffed stations as assigned
