The Line Cook role at Andy B's is an essential position responsible for preparing and plating menu items according to the company's recipes and presentation standards. The individual in this role should have a passion for food and a genuine desire to contribute to the best possible dining experience for guests on every visit. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, consistency in food quality, and adherence to safety protocols. Additionally, the Line Cook will perform opening and closing kitchen duties, maintain cleanliness and organization, and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly operated and maintained. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to frequently lift to 20 lbs
  • Occasionally to 50 lbs
  • Ability to frequently work in temperatures up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 months of cooking experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of dietary constraints and food allergies is preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and a get-it-done attitude
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, loud environment
  • Successful completion of food handling certifications required by local and state governments

Job Duties

  • Prepare and plate menu items according to company recipes and standards
  • Conduct opening/closing duties and maintain a stocked, clean, and tidy kitchen
  • Comply with food safety guidelines with labeling, dating, initially, and rotating food items
  • Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
