Infernal Tacos is a family-owned taco truck that proudly serves the Antelope Valley community. This part-time Line Cook position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on quality, efficiency, and outstanding service. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing meats such as asada, chicken, pastor, and carnitas, as well as assisting with daily food preparation tasks like chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning ingredients. Working primarily in a fast-paced taco truck environment, this role also supports catering events, requiring flexibility and teamwork to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, and helping with catering setup as needed. The position pays between $17.50 and $20.00 per hour, with an expected 15 to 30 hours of work per week, offering a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evenings. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
  • Food Handler Certification required or willing to obtain
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must be reliable and punctual

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meats such as asada, chicken, pastor, and carnitas
  • Assist with daily food prep including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with catering preparation and event setup when needed
  • Work efficiently during busy service times
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Follow recipes and portion control standards
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
