  • culinary school or related experience preferred
  • valid food handler certificate
  • high school diploma or equivalent

  • knowledge of soups, sauces, and cooking techniques
  • advanced knife skills
  • knowledge of culinary department duties
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • maintain a commitment for guest service with focus on the highest quality food and consistency
  • prepare items designated by the chef according to The Club's standard recipes and policies
  • food requisition storage and product rotation
  • receiving food requisitions, check food products for quality and quantity
  • inform the executive chef or sous chef regarding preparation and food requisitioning for upcoming functions
  • responsible for the care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • inspect refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation
  • ensure banquet functions are properly broken down and reusable items are returned to main kitchen
  • maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • respond to any reasonable task assigned by the executive chef or sous chef
  • assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed
