The hotel features beautifully appointed rooms, exquisite event spaces, and a renowned dining venue offering a farm-to-table culinary approach. As a cornerstone of the Austin hospitality scene, Hotel Ella emphasizes quality, consistency, and a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. Their commitment to excellence has made them a sought-after destination for travelers seeking comfort, style, and exceptional service.
Hotel Ella is currently seeking a skilled, dependable, and team-oriented Line Cook to join their culinary team. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily kitchen operations and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for every guest. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items precisely according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. This role demands a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent food quality.
The Line Cook is expected to properly set up and stock their station before service, prepare ingredients for daily use, and monitor product levels throughout their shift. Effective communication with chefs and fellow kitchen team members is essential to ensure the smooth execution of service and consistency in food delivery. The position also involves assisting with prep work, proper food storage, rotation and labeling, cleaning responsibilities, and breaking down the station at the end of each shift.
A successful candidate will have a solid understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, sanitation standards, and safe food handling practices. This individual must be able to follow directions accurately, stay organized under pressure, and contribute positively to a collaborative kitchen culture. Flexibility is important, as this role may require working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the demands of the business. Hotel Ella values team members who take pride in their work, demonstrate consistent performance, and are dedicated to supporting both the culinary team and the overall guest experience.
Hospitality professionals joining Hotel Ella can expect to be part of an inclusive work environment where equal opportunity is provided to all employees in accordance with federal employment laws. The hotel takes compliance seriously and ensures all applicants are notified of their rights pursuant to these regulations. Joining Hotel Ella means becoming part of a team that is passionate about hospitality, culinary excellence, and creating memorable experiences for guests at every level.
