Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a line cook or similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of different cooking techniques and food preparation methods required
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure food is prepared accurately
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to learn cash register software such as Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity
  • Physical stamina to withstand kitchen environment heat and prolonged standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock your assigned station with all necessary supplies and ingredients before each shift
  • Utilize various cooking techniques such as grilling, sauteing, frying, broiling, and baking to prepare menu items
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the menu, including ingredients, portion sizes, and presentation standards
  • Adhere to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of food orders to meet guest expectations and reduce wait times
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and maintain smooth operations during service
  • Inspect food items for quality and freshness, and promptly address any issues or discrepancies with kitchen management
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report any shortages or items in need of replenishment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
