Job Description
Cooper's Hawk is a distinguished lifestyle brand that offers a unique blend of Napa-style tasting room experiences alongside a contemporary, full-service restaurant, bar, and private event spaces. Since its inception in 2005, the company has been dedicated to bringing the essence of Napa Valley wine culture to its guests and Wine Club members across the country. The establishment prides itself on its scratch-kitchen menu, meticulously crafted to pair harmoniously with their award-winning wines, providing an elevated dining experience. Cooper's Hawk is also known for operating one of the world's largest wine clubs, which extends exclusive benefits, including carefully curated dining and travel experiences to its members. In addition to its core offerings, the brand has expanded with Piccolo Buco by Cooper’s Hawk, introducing the vibrant flavors of Rome through an authentic culinary approach, thus enriching its portfolio and enhancing its lifestyle appeal.
The role of a Line Cook at Cooper's Hawk is integral to sustaining the brand’s reputation for quality and memorable guest experiences. This position is more than just following recipes; it is about crafting unforgettable food experiences that contribute to lasting memories for every guest. Line Cooks are expected to embody precision, urgency, and pride in their culinary work. They prepare a variety of high-quality dishes by adhering to established recipes, controlling portions, and ensuring impeccable presentation on every plate. Their culinary skills are matched with the ability to connect emotionally to the craft and the guests they indirectly serve. The role involves multitasking in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing several dishes simultaneously via a kitchen display system (KDS), and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout the shift.
Communication plays a vital part in this position; Line Cooks work closely with their teammates and managers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service flow. They actively participate as a collaborative team member, stepping in to support others when necessary and maintaining a consistent quality that reflects the brand's high standards. Beyond technical competencies, Cooper's Hawk values genuine care and attention to detail—from managing equipment cleanliness to maintaining organized storage areas—to create an exceptional dining atmosphere. The company emphasizes continuous growth and education, encouraging its culinary team to engage in wine and food learning opportunities, which enhance both personal skills and the overall guest experience.
This is a full-time or part-time opportunity offering a competitive compensation range from $15.00 to $22.00 per hour, dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience. Employees benefit from comprehensive offerings, including meal discounts, retail discounts, medical and dental insurance, 401k with company match, paid time off with flexible scheduling, early pay access, and wellness support. The role promises a rich career path with growth opportunities, a supportive work environment, and the chance to be part of a celebrated brand that blends wine, culinary arts, and hospitality into a singular lifestyle experience.
