The Cook position at The Bradley presents an exciting opportunity for culinary enthusiasts who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to develop their talents in a professional kitchen setting. This role requires creativity, motivation, and a strong desire to enhance cooking skills under the guidance of an experienced culinary leadership team. The Cook will support food production efforts across kitchen operations, including cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining service, and fine dining experiences. Job Requirements
- Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
- Requires strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- At least 21 years of age
- Have a desire to exceed expectations
- An energetic personality
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Desire to learn and develop culinary skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of various cooking methods including grilling, sautéing, and frying
- Active Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain it
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Duties
- Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods such as grill, sauté and fry
- Experience using knives and various kitchen equipment
- Recreate and follow recipes consistently
- Maintain consistency in all food preparation
- Minimize food waste through cross utilization
- Work collaboratively with culinary leadership and kitchen staff
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, peeling, and cutting meat
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
- Ensure proper storage of food and ingredients
- Be responsible for the quality of ingredients
- Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
