Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- One to two years experience in quantity food preparation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to interpret and follow recipes
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Sanitation certification
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and maneuver heavy objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to hazardous materials and conditions
- Ability to safely use gas, electric, and steam kitchen equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years experience in preparing quantity food items
- Good communication skills
- Ability to interpret and follow recipes
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Sanitation certified
Job Duties
- Ensure hot menu items are correctly prepared according to standardized recipes
- Follow standardized recipes to ensure quality and adequate quantities of food
- Document food temperatures prior to each service
- Assist with product testing and recipe development
- Provide input into recipe standardization and creative food production
- Adhere to strict deadlines for food production
- Check tally for meal trays and catering requests
- Prepare all items needed for service areas
- Obtain supplies from storeroom, refrigerators, and freezer
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work area
- Ensure food is stored covered, dated, and leftovers utilized
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
- Date and rotate food items properly
- Attend area and department meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
