Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • able to stand for extended periods between 4 to 10 hours
  • capable of carrying up to 80 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 1000 pounds
  • ability to perform frequent arm and hand motions, bending, and reaching
  • ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
  • must have a pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude
  • ability to follow directions independently
  • flexible to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight
  • may be required to pass physical and written culinary skills tests

Job Duties

  • Responsible for all aspects of customer service
  • interact directly with customers at work station
  • prepare both hot and cold foods using kitchen equipment such as pizza oven, charbroiler, griddle, steam table, blast chiller, combitherm, wok, tilt skillet, fryer, convection oven
  • pack, merchandise, and label merchandise ensuring price integrity
  • cut, weigh, and package deli meats and prepared foods
  • maintain quality control
  • comply with government and regulatory agency rules and regulations
  • follow company programs, philosophies, and mission statements
  • ensure all equipment is in safe working condition and properly maintained
  • understand and follow recipes
  • maintain production and dump logs
  • restock plastic and paper goods, drinks, and condiments
  • perform setup and breakdown duties for service line and back kitchen
  • clean including washing dishes, sanitation of surfaces, sweeping, and mopping
  • answer departmental phone
  • make store announcements about kitchen specials
  • perform demonstrations when necessary
  • perform other duties as directed by management
