Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in one or more of the following roles is highly desirable: line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, chef, restaurant crew member, restaurant team member or other part time BOH restaurant job
  • positive attitude
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to follow instructions accurately
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to learn and undergo training

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • familiar with industry’s best practices

Job Duties

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • assist kitchen manager with daily tasks
  • prepare food to the exact specifications and to set up stations for menu
  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, prepping meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • answer, report and follow the managers instructions
  • clean up station and kitchen equipment
  • stock inventory appropriately
  • ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
