The Line Cook role at Belmont Village Senior Living is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of an outstanding dining experience to residents and their guests. This role involves multi-functional tasks related to food preparation, kitchen set-up, service, and clean-up within a busy commercial kitchen environment specializing in senior living. The Line Cook follows company recipes meticulously to prepare meals from scratch, maintaining high standards in food quality and presentation. This position demands a reliable, diligent individual with a strong work ethic who approaches the role with empathy and a genuine passion for hospitality. Working in a fast-paced setting, the Line Cook must manage several cooking orders simultaneously, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and prioritize customer service and resident satisfaction in every interaction. Job Requirements

  • All offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Minimum of 6 months line cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting
  • Proven success with basic culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods
  • Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
  • Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation
  • Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
  • Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times
  • Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
