Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of relevant culinary experience, especially on hot line
  • Active or valid Food Handler's certification or ability to acquire one
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Energetic and positive personality

Job Qualifications

  • One to three years previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • Active Food Handler's certification or ability to obtain it
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work a variety of day, night, and weekend shifts
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Energetic personality
  • Desire to exceed expectations

Job Duties

  • Complete daily prep responsibilities and set line for service
  • Prepare all hot food items according to standard recipes or as specified on guest check
  • Ensure consistency of product for the guest
  • Check quality of food as it arrives and inform Sous Chef of any damaged products
  • Properly label, date, and store all food items
  • Maintain work area in a safe and sanitary manner and report safety issues
  • Maintain high standards of food preparation while multitasking
  • Work closely with standard recipes and presentations to meet food costs and ensure uniform quality
  • Maintain product consistency, seasoning, and plate presentation
  • Continuously seek ways to improve productivity
  • Handle and rotate food according to established procedures including cooking and cooling temperatures
  • Utilize proper and safe knife skills
  • Order food requisitions in collaboration with Sous Chef
  • Respect and accommodate food server's guest requests
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Sous Chef and assist in any needed area
