Currently, Sodexo Live is seeking a Line Cook to join their dynamic team at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This part-time role offers an hourly wage ranging from $21.00 to $25.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to valuing skilled culinary professionals. The Line Cook position requires an individual passionate about food, detail-oriented in food preparation, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of customer service.

As a Line Cook, you will play an essential role in the kitchen by preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold foods efficiently and accurately across different meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special event catering. You will be instrumental in controlling food waste and upholding food safety and hygiene standards. Your ability to follow recipes and product instructions precisely will ensure that all dishes meet the quality expectations Sodexo Live clients and customers expect.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant cooking experience between 0 and 2 years preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of cold and hot foods for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product instructions to prepare various foods
  • Prepare food and serve customers ordering a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time and with sufficient regularity
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed which may vary by account depending on business and client needs
