The role of Line Cook at Sodexo, specifically within the Corban University location, offers a part-time opportunity with competitive pay ranging from $18 to $20 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including varying days and hours
  • Open availability preferred
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Must attend work and show up for scheduled shifts with regularity

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided
  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
