The role of a Restaurant Cook at Constellation Brands is a full-time position based in Nashville, Tennessee, within the hospitality and retail job area. This position requires a passionate and skilled culinary professional dedicated to preparing high-quality hot and cold restaurant foods that meet strict specifications and ensure excellent plate presentation. The restaurant cook will be responsible for maintaining a solid knowledge of food products, sanitation standards, and basic culinary techniques, demonstrating flexibility by working across multiple kitchen stations as needed. This role demands proficiency in essential culinary skills such as grilling, deep-frying, roasting, and searing.

In addition to line cooking responsibilities, the restaurant cook will work closely with sous chefs and the executive chef, executing detailed instructions to support kitchen operations efficiently. The role includes proper labeling and dating of food products to uphold safety and sanitation standards, working collaboratively with management, chefs, and fellow coworkers to respond to guest and management requests effectively. Maintaining a positive attitude and adherence to company policies and procedures are key components of the job.

Additionally, the position involves assisting with the production of in-house baked goods such as breads, desserts, and pastries, based on established recipes. Preparation for pastry components including batters, doughs, custards, and simple plated desserts is also part of the responsibilities. Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and par levels at the pastry station is essential for smooth kitchen operations.

The salary range for this role is $14.20 to $20.43 per hour, reflecting varying geographic market conditions and candidate qualifications. Job Duties

  • Responsible for preparation of all hot and cold restaurant foods meeting specifications and guaranteeing appropriate attention to detail is demonstrated with plate presentation
  • Maintain solid knowledge of all food products sanitation standards and basic culinary techniques
  • Possess ability to work two or more stations and in any capacity on the line
  • Show higher than average proficiency with basic line skills including grilling deep frying roasting searing etc
  • Display ability to take detailed instruction and tasks from sous chefs and executive chef
  • Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Work as a team and effectively communicate with management chefs and fellow coworkers in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or management
  • Remain positive with a good attitude throughout shift
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Assist with production of in-house baked goods breads desserts pastries according to established recipes
  • Execute prep for pastry components including batters doughs custards and simple plated desserts
  • Maintain organization cleanliness and par levels for pastry station
