Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the culinary field
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management personnel
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations

  • Food handling certificate (desirable)
  • Sanitation certificate (desirable)
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages (desirable)
  • Culinary college degree (desirable)

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment
  • Follow recipes to increase or decrease recipe quantities as needed
  • Demonstrate good knife skills
  • Season food properly
  • Follow all established processes accurately
  • Read and understand contracts and order tickets
  • Communicate efficiently with internal customers including stewarding, banquets, and front of the house
  • Fill out requisitions properly
  • Follow all rules and regulations in the employee handbook
  • Rotate product properly in walk-in cooler
  • Clean and maintain equipment properly
  • Adhere to state sanitation and health regulations and hotel requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
