Job Description

Odell Brewing Company (OBC) has been a beloved fixture in the craft beer industry since 1989, founded on the principles of family, collaboration, and a deep passion for brewing quality, hand-crafted, and innovative beers. Located in Colorado, OBC has cultivated a culture that not only values exceptional beer but also promotes community involvement, employee ownership, and environmental stewardship. This brewery is unique in its approach, having transitioned in 2015 to an Employee Stock Ownership Program, where the majority of the company is owned by its dedicated co-workers. This ownership culture inspires every team member to contribute actively to the company’s success and to the larger Colorado community. With a keen focus on collaboration, education, and innovation, Odell Brewing Company thrives as an independent brewery dedicated to delivering top-notch beers while fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace environment.

Currently, Odell Brewing Company is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join their kitchen team at the Sloan's Lake Brewery. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for those who are passionate about food, enjoy working in a dynamic and creative kitchen setting, and want to be part of a company that values community-building through craft beer. As a kitchen team member, you will collaborate closely with a talented group to prepare delicious scratch-made pizzas, fresh salads, and other dishes inspired by Colorado’s vibrant culinary culture. The position is part-time, with shifts scheduled Thursday through Sunday for both lunch and dinner, up to 30 hours per week. Employees can relish a unique work environment, including access to a rooftop patio with scenic views of Sloan's Lake, fostering a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.

The kitchen team role involves rotating through various stations such as prep, salads, sides, and pizza, ensuring all food is rotated and prepared on schedule, maintaining impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards, and supporting seamless shift handovers to guarantee guest satisfaction. Candidates must have prior kitchen or restaurant experience, be at least 21 years old, and possess basic food handling certification or ServSafe credentials preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive, motivated, and collaborative attitude, be able to thrive in fast-paced settings, and willingly work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Physical demands include working long hours on your feet, lifting and moving heavy items, and performing various physical movements in hot, noisy environments. Odell Brewing is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure all employees can perform their essential job functions.

In return for your dedication, Odell Brewing offers competitive compensation ranging from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, dependent on experience and other factors. The benefits package is designed to support the well-being and satisfaction of their employees and includes daily paid breaks, weekly beer allotment, merchandise allotments, discounted shift meals, an Employee Assistance Program, and parental pay. Emphasizing diversity and inclusion, Odell Brewing is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds without discrimination. This is an ideal role for anyone passionate about food and beer culture, seeking a community-oriented workplace that nurtures creativity and ownership.
