Job Description

Grand Living is a distinguished senior living company known for redefining the way generations embrace life through luxurious and thoughtfully designed senior housing communities. Established with a vision to offer residents more than just a residence, Grand Living has blossomed into an iconic brand synonymous with top-tier senior hospitality. The company prides itself on creating environments that combine elegant design with a warm, personal touch, ensuring a superior living experience for seniors. The communities feature gracious apartments furnished with exquisite décor and meticulous attention to design excellence at every corner. Yet, what truly sets Grand Living apart is the dedication and character of its team members who deliver unmatched personal service to every resident and guest. This genuine care and professionalism are core to the company culture and contribute to the high satisfaction ratings among residents and their families.

The Line Cook position at Grand Living represents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to this unique hospitality experience. Working closely under the Executive Chef’s guidance, the Line Cook plays a critical role in delivering outstanding culinary offerings that enhance the residents' dining experience. This role demands meticulous attention to food quality and quantity, efficient production of diverse food items including meats, vegetables, potatoes, breads, and desserts, and a passion for creativity and precision in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Shifts are available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with options ranging from early morning to evening hours to accommodate various scheduling needs.

The Line Cook is expected to embody The Sterling Touch®—a professional, courteous, friendly, and timely approach to work that ensures every resident and guest feels valued and cared for. This includes maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and service while supporting the broader community standards, processes, and philosophies established by Grand Living. Beyond cooking skills, the role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and the ability to thrive in an environment dedicated to luxury senior living. Candidates who demonstrate experience in scratch cooking, sauté or broiler techniques, and fast-paced kitchen operations will find this role particularly rewarding.

Grand Living offers a comprehensive benefits package tailored to full-time employees, supporting their well-being and professional growth. This includes competitive compensation, a generous paid time off program that increases with tenure, affordable medical and dental insurance options, and a company-matched 401(k) plan. In addition, life and AD&D insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, and exclusive access to onsite spa and fitness facilities further enhance the employment experience. Employees also enjoy free meals, reflecting the company’s commitment to holistic care for both residents and staff.

Joining Grand Living as a Line Cook means becoming part of a community dedicated to excellence, inclusivity, and personalized service. This is an opportunity to impact the daily lives of seniors significantly by contributing to their culinary satisfaction within an upscale, supportive work setting.
