The position available is for an experienced cook proficient in a broad array of cooking techniques including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. The successful candidate will ensure that every dish served meets the company’s exacting recipes and guest satisfaction standards. This role demands outstanding time management capabilities and a team-oriented attitude, enabling smooth kitchen operations amid varying menu offerings and busy service periods. Job Requirements
- Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of cooking experience preferred
- Fine-dining preparation experience preferred
- Clear and polite communication skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to operate necessary kitchen equipment
- Hardworking, detail-oriented, and strong work ethic
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Previous experience working in food service is preferred
- Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
Job Duties
- Consistently providing quality food preparation and service
- Providing speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipment
- Understanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipment
- Flexibility in executing varying events and seasonal menus
- Maintaining Health Department cleanliness and safety standards
- Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
- Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items
- Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
- Set up cooking stations and fill them with all the essential preparation items for a shift
- Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates
