Job Description
Cinepolis USA is a premier luxury cinema exhibitor committed to delivering superior movie-going experiences through its innovative theater concepts, "Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas" and "Movie House & Eatery." Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Cinepolis USA operates 26 upscale and premium theaters located across diverse states including California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, and Ohio, with ambitious expansion plans to grow further. As a part of the global Cinepolis International family, the world's most popular movie theater exhibitor, the company places a strong emphasis on innovation, hospitality, and the art of cinema, aiming to enhance every guest's visit with exceptional service and an inviting atmosphere.
Cinepolis USA blends the joy of film with exquisite dining and hospitality, setting itself apart through a dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. It embodies the spirit of "more than a movie," focusing on lighting up the lives of guests and employees alike, by integrating film, food, and fun into every theater experience. Employees at Cinepolis enjoy several perks, including generous discounts on tickets, food, and beverages, free movie tickets, and recognition programs like milestone anniversary gifts and employee awards.
The Kitchen Staff position at Cinepolis USA is integral to maintaining the high standards of food quality and guest satisfaction that define the brand. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager and operating within the theater's operations department, the Kitchen Staff is responsible for preparing menu items accurately and promptly, adhering to established recipes and food safety guidelines. This role requires a commitment to delivering consistency in food quality in a fast-paced environment while ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen workspace.
This non-exempt, hourly role involves working collaboratively with other kitchen team members to deliver food orders that meet the company’s standards of excellence. The Kitchen Staff must demonstrate passion for the culinary arts and hospitality, cook items simultaneously to ensure timely service, accommodate special guest requests whenever possible with management approval, and adhere strictly to food safety protocols including proper food storage, cross-contamination avoidance, and kitchen sanitation practices.
In addition to food preparation, the Kitchen Staff plays a critical role in maintaining inventory, utilizing first-in-first-out (FIFO) practices to minimize waste, accurately logging discarded items, and keeping the kitchen stocked and orderly. The position demands physical stamina, the ability to stand and move during shifts, and the capacity to lift and handle food and kitchen equipment safely.
Cinepolis USA offers extensive employee coverage including free movie tickets and concessions during shifts, a 50 percent discount on food and beverage items excluding alcohol, complimentary meals for shifts of four hours or more, and recognition programs such as Digital Marketing campaigns and private watch parties for outstanding team members. There is a clear pathway for career advancement through strategic development plans and internal promotional opportunities, reflecting the company’s investment in its workforce.
Working for Cinepolis is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about hospitality, film, and culinary arts who thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment. Whether you are an experienced culinary professional or starting in entry-level roles such as dishwasher or prep cook, Cinepolis provides the training and certification required to excel. Applicants should expect flexible working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and should be prepared to work safely and effectively in a busy cinema environment that combines the elements of entertainment and gourmet dining.
