The Full-Time Line Cook position at Wexford Hilton Head offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals to join one of the best culinary teams in the area. This role is instrumental in supporting the kitchen's high-quality and efficient operations by preparing a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards. The Line Cook will play a key role in food preparation and presentation for members and guests across different dining settings, including the main dining room, private events, and club functions. The position requires a motivated and experienced individual who can maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic while functioning effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The hired candidate will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency in food quality and smooth service throughout all meals. This full-time role includes shifts that may encompass day, evening, and weekend hours, reflecting the operational needs of the club. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, with an eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package after 90 days of employment, including health, dental, and vision insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) with company matching, paid time off, and an employee referral program. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including meats, poultry, and seafood using grilling, broiling, and saute techniques
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menus and preparation procedures
  • Set up and maintain clean, organized, and efficient workstations
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, checking product quality, and ensuring proper storage of food and supplies
  • Support kitchen operations during service to ensure timely and high-quality food preparation
  • Assist with physical inventory as directed by the Executive Chef
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef
