The Line Cook position at Yard House is essential to the guest experience and the operational success of our kitchen. As the Heart of Our House, line cooks play a pivotal role in preparing and coordinating quality dishes with fresh ingredients, ensuring food is delivered timely and meets our high standards for safety and sanitation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Good physical stamina

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for quality food preparation and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation throughout the cooking process
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen workspace
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff
  • Contribute to a positive and energetic kitchen environment
