We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time hourly positions including Line Cooks, Wok Cooks, Cooks, Chef De Parties, or Station Chefs. This role is crucial within our kitchen team and focuses on accommodating guests' needs by preparing food according to established recipes and following strict safety and sanitation guidelines. Our kitchen professionals work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where precision, teamwork, and a genuine love of cooking are essential. The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $21.50 per hour, based on experience, reflecting our commitment to offering competitive wages to our valued team members.

As a cook at P.F. Chang's, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking all food items according to company specifications. You will ensure that each dish is plated with attention to detail and presented in line with our chef's guidance. Beyond cooking, you will manage the setup, operation, breakdown, and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Our team members also contribute to supporting tasks such as washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing utensils to ensure an efficient and hygienic kitchen environment.

Job Requirements

  • No previous experience required as training is provided
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks including lifting and bending
  • Willingness to learn and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment
  • Understanding of food handling chemicals used in the facility

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to learn recipes and restaurant menus quickly
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Excellent customer service skills and teamwork
  • Possession of a Food Handler’s Card or willingness to obtain one

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food items to company specifications
  • Plates prepared foods based on chef’s guidance
  • Responsible for the setup, operation, break down, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment
  • Assist with washing dishes, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning and maintaining equipment, sanitizing utensils
  • Uphold restaurant kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment
