We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join our thriving kitchen staff. This role is ideal for someone who loves people and has a passion for serving great-tasting and beautifully presented food. As a Line Cook, you will be directly responsible for preparing menu items according to our detailed recipes and presentation standards, ensuring high-quality food with timely execution. In this role, you will manage your assigned prep work and cook's station while maintaining strict standards for product quality and presentation throughout your shift. The Line Cook position offers an enriching opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all kitchen department roles through comprehensive cross-training. This position plays a vital role in our kitchen's success and our guests' overall dining experience.

The Line Cook will prepare all menu items according to Carlos O'Kelly's recipes, plate presentation guidelines, and food preparation specifications. You will be expected to handle your assigned prep work efficiently and set up your workstation following our station diagrams to ensure smooth production throughout your shift. An essential part of your duties involves practicing sanitary and safe food handling procedures consistently to uphold our commitment to cleanliness and customer safety.

Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen is another critical aspect of the role. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your work area before, during, and after your shift, as well as completing assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects. Physical stamina and mobility are required to navigate the kitchen efficiently, transport cases weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per day, and operate various food preparation equipment safely. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and dedication to upholding our standards are necessary qualities for success in this position.

Job Requirements

  • Physical stamina and mobility required
  • Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day
  • Ability to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen
  • Experience in food preparation preferred
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to following sanitary and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
  • Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves
  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
  • Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
  • Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
