The role as a Cook involves preparing meals according to established recipes and food production standards, ensuring every dish is cooked properly and served at the ideal temperature. This position includes responsibilities such as maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the cooking station and food preparation areas during the shift, adhering to all sanitation and safety standards to ensure a hazard-free work environment, and safely operating all cooking appliances and utensils. Additionally, cooks are expected to contribute to a friendly and efficient kitchen atmosphere, provide customer service to guests when necessary, and assist with inventory tasks such as ordering and receiving food supplies. Because this role is physically demanding, candidates must be prepared to work in a busy kitchen environment, standing for extended periods of time.
Employment for this position is contingent upon successfully passing a drug screening via Checkr before the assignment begins. Failure to clear the drug test or complete all the required screening steps will result in removal from the job assignment. The company requires that each cook bring their own chef coat as part of their work attire, underscoring professionalism and adherence to uniform standards.
