The Line Cook role is a vital position within the kitchen team, responsible for preparing food items accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This position requires working comfortably at action stations, handling multiple orders simultaneously, and collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen staff. The Line Cook must be adaptable to various shift times and maintain professionalism, even in high-volume, stressful situations. Responsibilities include food prep, stocking refrigerators and freezers, equipment operation and cleaning, and ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines. In addition, this role involves assisting with receiving deliveries, managing inventory rotation using the FIFO method, and contributing to kitchen organization and sanitation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally, friendly and outgoing, and ready to learn and grow within the restaurant environment.

Job Requirements
- One year of experience as a cook
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Possess Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to take and execute direction
- Maintain professionalism under pressure
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience as a cook, preferably in a full-service dining restaurant
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation
- Ability to maintain professionalism in high-volume and stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification
- Ability to take and execute direction
Job Duties
- Work various shifts including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Prepare all food items correctly and in a timely manner
- Communicate with Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef
- Help receive all food and supply deliveries and ensure proper rotation of new products
- Maintain and organize kitchen, sustaining FIFO in all refrigerator units
- Stock refrigerators and freezers daily
- Operate and clean food preparation equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen according to Public Health guidelines
- Follow all HACCP guidelines
- Lift at least 50 lbs
- Assist in other areas when not busy
- Responsible for full setup and preparation of hot and cold food items
- Assist Chef and Sous Chef with organization and sanitation of the kitchen including walk-in coolers and freezers
