The Line Cook role aboard American Cruise Lines' ships offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals to contribute to an exceptional dining experience while working in a unique shipboard environment. This position involves preparing meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, working closely with the Executive and Sous Chefs to ensure the highest quality of food is served to guests. Line Cooks are responsible for utilizing fresh, regional ingredients to produce diverse and delicious dishes aligned with carefully crafted menus. The role demands a strong culinary skill set, organizational ability, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.

This is a full-time, exempt role with a structured schedule that includes seven days a week work while onboard with six weeks of work and two weeks of unpaid vacation.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of culinary experience
  • Experience in full-service resort, hotel, country club or restaurant cooking
  • Familiar with food safety standards

  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to complete criminal background check
  • Possession of Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
