The Line Cook position at Stonebridge, based in South San Francisco, California, is a part-time, non-exempt role with a competitive pay range of $21.00-$23.00 per hour. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager, this role is integral to the daily kitchen operations and requires a committed individual passionate about food quality and consistency. The Line Cook’s primary responsibility is to prepare and cook food in accordance with the hotel’s quality standards, working across multiple meal services including breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service. This role demands proactive preparation, efficient station management, and an unwavering commitment to food safety and sanitation.
Successful candidates will be expected to prepare ingredients before service begins, operate cooking stations efficiently and safely, and produce food that meets strict recipe guidelines and presentation standards. High standards of cleanliness and safe food handling practices must be maintained at all times to ensure compliance with health regulations. The Line Cook will specialize in creating pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts, ensuring these offerings reflect the high standards of Stonebridge’s culinary brand. Additionally, the role involves managing guest orders in a timely and courteous manner, inspecting food quality, maintaining stock levels, and following opening and closing procedures meticulously.

Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year of related experience and/or training
- strong knowledge of food preparation methods including pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts
- ability to use cooking metrics and conversion methods for measurements
- ability to follow recipes and instructions ensuring consistency in quality
- experience in high-paced kitchen environments
- Safe Serve/Food Handler's certification
- excellent time management and organizational skills
