The club prides itself not only on its challenging, beautifully maintained golf course but also on its comprehensive amenities including a full-service pro shop and the newly renovated Lion's Den Restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and hosts community events throughout the year, enhancing the club's role as a central social hub. Moreover, Kings Gate Golf Club offers facilities that accommodate weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations for up to 300 guests, positioning it as a dynamic destination for golf enthusiasts and event organizers alike.

The club is currently recruiting skilled and dependable Line Cooks to join their culinary team. This role is integral to the successful operation of the Lion's Den Restaurant, where culinary professionals work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional quality and consistency. Line Cooks at Kings Gate Golf Club are responsible for preparing a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes, ensuring that every plate meets the club's high standards for taste, presentation, and portion control. The role requires a keen attention to detail, solid cooking skills including grilling, baking, and boiling, and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen. Additionally, Line Cooks play a vital role in inventory management by receiving and inspecting food supplies and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from 16 to 19 dollars per hour depending on experience, with schedules that include weekends and holiday availability. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as cook
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • Very good communication skills
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as cook
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage

Job Duties

  • Comply with written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control, i.e. sizes of portions, methods of preparation, cooking, garnishing of foods, and sees that the food is prepared as ordered
  • Receive and check food and supplies into the kitchen and storerooms i.e. inspect condition of contents, checks against invoices & orders, and freshness of product
  • Store new and reuse products in proper temperatures and proper wrappings
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as instructed by the Chef or General Manager
  • Complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by the Chef or General Manager
  • Protect the assets of the Club
  • Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Hampton Golf
  • Maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
  • Assist with other duties as needed
