The role of a Cook or Line Cook at Double Dogs Chowhouse is dynamic and central to maintaining the high standards of the restaurant. Candidates in this position are expected to maintain a guest-focused mindset and contribute to a positive dining experience through effective communication and consistent quality in food preparation. Key responsibilities include assuming full responsibility for the quality of products served, maintaining an organized and sanitary workstation, and complying with all company policies regarding food safety, personal safety, and equipment use. The position requires physical stamina including mobility during shifts, and the ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and reach. In addition to preparing and stocking food, Cooks are responsible for food labeling, dating, and rotation to ensure freshness and quality. The role also entails supporting kitchen cleanliness and other duties as assigned, following procedures for opening and closing the kitchen.
