Job Requirements

  • Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards
  • Communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator
  • Maintain menu item counts and notify Management when quantities fall below minimum
  • Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment including Employee Handbook
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Be available to work varied hours, days and shifts including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
  • Understanding and following food allergy procedures and special orders or restrictions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team player
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
  • Prior kitchen or cooking experience is preferred but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Executing menu items from start to finish including ingredient preparation, protein butchery, cooking and plating
  • Honing existing skills while learning new techniques and building skill set
  • Working collaboratively with back-of-house and front-of-house staff
  • Maintaining cleanliness of back-of-house work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment and prep areas
  • Participating in deep cleaning of back-of-house work areas
  • Being available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts including weekends
  • Safely and effectively operating all necessary tools and equipment including knives
  • Communicating effectively to perform and follow written and spoken job instructions
