Job Requirements
- Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
- Maintain food safety and quality standards
- Communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator
- Maintain menu item counts and notify Management when quantities fall below minimum
- Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment including Employee Handbook
- Get along well with others and be a team player
- Be available to work varied hours, days and shifts including weekends
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
- Understanding and following food allergy procedures and special orders or restrictions
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills
- Prior kitchen or cooking experience is preferred but not mandatory
Job Duties
- Executing menu items from start to finish including ingredient preparation, protein butchery, cooking and plating
- Honing existing skills while learning new techniques and building skill set
- Working collaboratively with back-of-house and front-of-house staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of back-of-house work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment and prep areas
- Participating in deep cleaning of back-of-house work areas
- Being available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts including weekends
- Safely and effectively operating all necessary tools and equipment including knives
- Communicating effectively to perform and follow written and spoken job instructions
