Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cooking experience in a relevant setting
  • ability to work the specified hours including weekends
  • successful completion of background screening prior to employment
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff
  • ensure food quality and presentation meet standards
  • coordinate timing of dish preparation for simultaneous serving
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workspace
  • follow all health and safety regulations
  • assist with inventory and stock management
