Job Requirements
- ability to grasp lift and/or carry goods weighing up to 100 lbs
- sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment including knives and slicers
- ability to work in extreme temperature ranges
- ability to perform duties in confined spaces
- frequent twisting bending stooping reaching standing walking talking hearing seeing and smiling
- must adhere to company appearance standards
- must follow safety and security protocols
Job Qualifications
- hold a current food handler card
- 2 years cooking experience preferred
- broiler cooking experience preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
- good knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
- knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
- basic mathematical skills for recipe and portion comprehension
- basic English language skills sufficient for communication
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest checks to ensure product consistency
- visually inspects and selects only food items of the highest standard for menu preparation
- checks and controls proper storage and portion control of products, especially meat cuts
- maintains cleanliness and working condition of refrigeration, equipment, and work areas to comply with health regulations
- maintains all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
- adheres to all company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security procedures and rules
- knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilizes protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
- provides a safe work environment by following safety protocols
- maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per company standards
- performs related duties as requested by management
- assists other kitchen personnel when needed
