Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
  • ability to follow directions and work well under pressure
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • willingness to learn and adapt to new stations and responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience working on a kitchen line
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work various stations
  • strong teamwork skills
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • good communication skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • follow instructions of the chef at all times
  • keep station clean and organized in accordance with health codes
  • set up stations with all necessary supplies
  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items cooperatively with kitchen staff
  • clean up station and handle extra food
  • stock inventory
  • ensure food quality and timely service
  • maintain positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
