Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum two years cooking experience preferred
- must hold a current food handler card
- ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
- ability to stand for extended periods
- must follow safety and security procedures
- ability to maintain cleanliness and grooming standards
- good communication skills
- must comply with health department regulations and company policies
Job Qualifications
- hold a current food handler card
- two years cooking experience preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards
- good knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
- knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- basic math skills
- basic English language proficiency to understand and communicate instructions
- ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest check to ensure consistency
- visually inspects and selects food items of the highest standard
- checks and controls proper storage and portion control of products
- keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas clean and compliant with health regulations
- maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
- adheres to company policies and safety procedures
- utilizes protective equipment and reports unsafe conditions
- provides a safe work environment by following all security rules
- maintains neat and clean appearance
- performs related duties as requested and assists other kitchen personnel when needed
