Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills, cooking methods, and food preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and a passion for culinary arts
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Culinary school or related certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients and follow established recipes to ensure accurate portioning and consistent quality of dishes
- Execute cooking techniques and methods to prepare a variety of menu items, including grilling, sautéing, frying, roasting, and plating dishes for service
- Maintain high standards for food quality, taste, and presentation
- conduct quality checks at every stage of preparation
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation and delivery of orders during busy service periods
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients and equipment
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring ingredients are stocked, and notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages
- Collaborate with fellow cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to create a positive and efficient work environment
- Be willing to assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and kitchen policies
