Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills, cooking methods, and food preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude and a passion for culinary arts
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Culinary school or related certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and follow established recipes to ensure accurate portioning and consistent quality of dishes
  • Execute cooking techniques and methods to prepare a variety of menu items, including grilling, sautéing, frying, roasting, and plating dishes for service
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, taste, and presentation
  • conduct quality checks at every stage of preparation
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation and delivery of orders during busy service periods
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients and equipment
  • Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring ingredients are stocked, and notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages
  • Collaborate with fellow cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to create a positive and efficient work environment
  • Be willing to assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and kitchen policies
