Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
  • ability to perform reaching and stooping motions

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred
  • knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, cooking methods, and food preparation
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • positive attitude and a passion for culinary arts
  • availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • culinary school or related certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and follow established recipes to ensure accurate portioning and consistent quality of dishes
  • execute cooking techniques and methods to prepare a variety of menu items including grilling, sauteing, frying, roasting, and plating dishes for service
  • maintain high standards for food quality, taste, and presentation
  • conduct quality checks at every stage of preparation
  • coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation and delivery of orders during busy service periods
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients and equipment
  • assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring ingredients are stocked and notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages
  • collaborate with fellow cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to create a positive and efficient work environment
  • ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and kitchen policies
