Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or related kitchen duties preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and portion standards accurately
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills in English
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time without over preparing estimated needs
- Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- Check pars for shift use determining necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
- Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages and assist in keeping buffet stocked
- Return all unused food items on next shift to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
- Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
