A line cook position is available at a restaurant for the daily preparation of food items in various stations within the kitchen. The restaurant follows specific guidelines for food preparation and safety practices.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Sets up, stocks, and breaks down station according to restaurant guidelines
  • Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
  • Cleans and maintains station with good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
  • Properly labels, dates, and rotates food products
  • Ensures proper food storage and holding temperatures
  • Reports to manager when low on product or equipment issues arise
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Minimum 3 years of recent line cook experience
