A line cook position is available at a restaurant for the daily preparation of food items in various stations within the kitchen. The restaurant follows specific guidelines for food preparation and safety practices.
Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Sets up, stocks, and breaks down station according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Cleans and maintains station with good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- Properly labels, dates, and rotates food products
- Ensures proper food storage and holding temperatures
- Reports to manager when low on product or equipment issues arise
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
- Minimum 3 years of recent line cook experience
