Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cooking experience in a restaurant setting
- ability to follow recipes and chef instructions accurately
- availability to work part-time hours including weekends and holidays
- food handler's permit or Serve Safe Certificate within 2 weeks of hire
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience including time as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- familiarity with the industry's best practices
- Serve Safe Certificate within 2 weeks of employment

Job Duties
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- cook items on menu in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- answer, report and follow executive or sous chef instructions
- clean up station and take care of leftover food with proper labels
- stock inventory properly following guidelines
- ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
