The Line Chef role at Bridgeway Community Health is an essential position within a growing culinary team, responsible for preparing and cooking individual menu items for volume dining under the guidance of the Executive Chef. This role focuses on high-quality food production, ensuring that meals are prepared according to standardized recipes and nutritional guidelines tailored to the needs of the community served. The Line Chef collaborates with other culinary staff to coordinate and produce breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees efficiently while maintaining an organized and hygienic kitchen environment. The position requires the ability to monitor food supplies carefully, request inventory as needed, and verify the quality and quantity of deliveries from suppliers to meet Bridgeway's culinary standards.
The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of culinary experience, preferably in high-volume settings, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in preparing menus for special diets is valued, as is having a food handler's permit and the willingness to work weekends and holidays as required. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service to clients and supporting the overall mission of Bridgeway Community Health through the culinary services provided. Compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials, with additional incentives such as stipends for bilingual employees fluent in Spanish and English.
