Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, kneel, and crouch more than 50 percent of the time
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to verbally communicate with employees at all times
- Experience working in high-end restaurant kitchens for 2 or more years
- Culinary degree or equivalent apprenticeship
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree from an accredited school preferred or completion of an apprenticeship program
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high-end restaurant environments
- Thorough knowledge of food service sanitation standards
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment use and operation
- Experience with grilling and sautéing
- Excellent knife skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, front-of-house staff, and management
